Parashat Noach tells an epic story of an ancient flood that covered a vast amount of land and left only one surviving family. Noach build an ark according to God's instructions and starts to load it up with representatives from all species, an incredible conservation effort!

Our first parsha is Bereisheet: In the Beginning. This story is perhaps one of the best know of Tanach, but our Hebrew source text is much more complex, mysterious, and evocative than you may expect.
